Roy Smith Wallace '35, of New Rochelle, New York, was elected captain of the Varsity swimming team at a meeting of the lettermen yesterday afternoon. Wallace prepared for Harvard at New Rochelle High School, where he was a member of the swimming, track, and football teams.

Paired with George C. Scott '34 in the 50-yard free style event, the new captain did not have any opportunities to shine, but usually came in close behind Scott and was a dependable point winner.

In his Freshman year he received his numerals as a member of the swimming team, and last year won a minor "H". Beside competing in the sprint this year, he was a member of the relay team which took many first places.
