The Harvard Varsity boxing team will meet the United States Coast Guard Academy team at 8 o'clock tonight in the Indoor Athletic Building. The two teams defeated New Hampshire this year by almost identical scores, so the match is expected to be close.
The feature bout of the meet should be in the 155-pound class, which will bring together Philip W. A. Hines '34 and Frank McCabe. Though Hines defeated McCabe last year, the Coast Guard man is undefeated this year and has improved considerably. Another close bout will be that between Dick Lawrence '34 and Co-captain Charles Tighe in the 165-pound class.
In the 135-pound class Harvard is represented by Peter Ward '36 who laid out the Captain of the New Hampshire squad last Saturday. Bill Smith '36 in the 175-pound class and Tom Curtain '34 and Jim Kunen '36 in the 125-pound class were on last year's team which defeated the Coast Guards by the score of 5 to 3. Captain Marshall A. Lamb '34, who was on the sidelines in the New Hampshire meet, has recovered sufficiently so that it is porbable that he will be able to fight.
