In marked contrast to the Oxford debaters who may journey down to London in a private train, followed by crowds of supporters, the Harvard Debating Team arrives unobtrusively in New York tonight, unescorted.
While Frederick DeW. Bolman, Jr. '35, captain of the two-man Crimson team which will broadcast its arguments against an Anglo-American alliance over a coast-to-coast and trans-Atlantic radio network, flies, Arthur G. Gilman '36, goes by train. Tomorrow morning in Gotham's Radio City, whence the American broadcast originates, they meet for a rehearsal before the debate goes on the air at 3.00 o'clock.
All introductions will be made in the United States. The first will present Gordon Murray, president of the Oxford Union Society, who will speak from 3.02 until 3.08 o'clock. Introduced at 3.08, Bolman speaks from 3.09 until 3.15 o'clock. Then K. R. F. Steele-Maitland, ex-president of the Oxford Union Society, will follow Bolman until 3.22 o'clock, when Sullivan is presented. The whole debate will thus last slightly loss than half an hour.
