Tabulations of 235 of the nearly 800 questionnaires sent out by the Phillips Brooks House to all non-resident students continued to show disapproval with present conditions and a willingness to cooperate towards any suggested improvement.
Available accommodations today are unsatisfactory, in the opinions of 194 of those who have already turned in their answers, while only 38 feel satisfied. Asked if they are making use of the facilities of Phillips Brooks House, 161 replied in the affirmative and 74 in the negative.
At present there is before the Committee for the Investigation of Commuter Problems a proposal to establish a new building with much larger accommodation facilities than Philips Brooks House.
A willingness to pay $10 toward the maintenance of such a building in return for the privilege of using it, was expressed by 168 of the commuters, while 67 voted against the proposition.
No distinct change in the trend of opinion has been noted since the number tabulated passed the 100 mark.
