Pollock to Spend Half Year Studying Archeology of Yucatan

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

H. E. D. Pollock '24 left last night for Yucatan where he will join Henry B. Roberts '30 in an expedition sent out by the Carnegie Institution. The party will spend 7 months in the western part of the province, where the work will be mainly reconnaissance.

All of the ruins to be visited are known and very little new exploring will be done. Most of the buildings are sufficiently above ground as to not need excavation, although some digging will be done.

Mr. Pollock will study the architecture of the region while Mr. Roberts will study the pottery. Two years ago, Mr. Pollock spent some time in the same area.
