As the Varsity and Freshman matmen stage their opener with M.I.T. tonight, Coach Cliff Gallagher has high hopes for a successful season. He expects the Sophomores in the Varsity ranks to be of considerable help.
The Varsity team consists of the following men: 118-pound class, Edward J. Petrenik '37; 126-pound class, Howland B. Stoddard '36; 135-pound class, Donald V. McGranahan '35; 145-pound class, William B. Cavin, Jr. '37; 155-pound class, Gerard J. Piel '37; 165-pound class, Donald B. Armstrong, Jr. '37; 175-pound class, Richard W. Emery '35; unlimited, Albert Aranson '36.
The following Freshmen have been chosen to compete with M.I.T. as the result of elimination held earlier this week: 118-pound class, Benjamin Gordon; 126-pound class, Edmund V. C. Anderson, Jr.; 135-pound class, Charles C. Daughaday; 145-pound class, Henry R. Ames; 155-pound class, Paul M. Glendinning; 165-pound class, John C. Harkness; 175-pound class, David S. Glueck; unlimited, William T. Glendinning.
