QUINTET TO MEET PENN TONIGHT IN LEAGUE CONTEST

Minus one of its stars, Danny Comfort, who has announced his intention of dropping out of college and who has already resigned from the basketball team, the Harvard quintet embarked for the University of Pennsylvania last night at 6 o'clock in quest of its first league victory. They will meet the Philadelphia team this evening.

Ten players, led by Captain Dick Boys, Coach Wesley Fesler, and Manager Ralph von Briesen, entrained at the South Station, on route for New York, where they will spend the night, moving on to Philadelphia, the home of the Quakers, this morning.

Despite the backing of triumphs over B.U. and M.I.T., the Crimson quintet is conceded only an outside chance of defeating the Penn team, defending champions of the Intercollegiate League.

Coach Fesler will start Jim Grady, eagle-eyed forward, Ernest A. Gray, Jr., lengthy center, and Captain Dick Boys as his first-string offensive combination. Dick Fletcher and Charles Kollinites are Fesler's choices in the guard positions.

The loss of Comfort is a serious handicap to the Crimson team, since the chunky guard has been a thorn in the opponents' side for the past two years. His departure also breaks up the Comfort, Grady, and Ernst trio, a combination of long standing.

Little encouragement for victory over Yale in the objective game of the season, came yesterday with the news that the Eli quintet had trounced the Providence Friars, an outfit which recently triumphed over Harvard, 45-21.
