SERVICE IN MEMORY OF DEAN BRIGGS PLANNED

Committee of Esteemed Men Chosen to Arrange Details of Service to be Held December 11

A service in memory of LeBaron Russell Briggs '75, former Dean of Harvard College, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, President of Radcliffe College, and for forty-two years teacher of English at Harvard, will be held in Memorial Church at 4.30 o'clock, December 11, the birthday of Dean Briggs. Dean Briggs died last April 24th. Harvard alumni and members of the University are especially invited to the memorial service.

President Conant has appointed the following committee to arrange the details of the service: Kenneth B. Murdock '16, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, chairman; Charles F. Adams '88, Member of the Board of Overseers; Willard L. Sperry, Dean of the Divinity School; Frank W. Taussig '79, Professor of Economics: George L. Kittredge '82, Professor of English Literature: and Robert S. Hillyer '17, Associate Professor of English.
