HOLD PHI BETA KAPPA ELECTIONS THIS WEEK

Sixteen Members Will Be Chosen From Senior Class--Junior Eight to Be Selected Next Semester

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Phi Beta Kappa will hold its next election on Thursday, November 15 in Dunster House, to elect sixteen members of the senior class. These men are to be chosen from a list of the 32 highest ranking students in the class, excluding the present undergraduate members of the society.

The policy of weighing tutorial recommendations as well as course records is to be continued, meaning that tutors will be asked to give specific estimates of each candidate's qualifications.

The electing will be done by a committee consisting of the eight undergraduate members; C. Crane Brinton '19, Assistant Professor of History and corresponding secretary of the organization; Albert C. Hanford '17, Dean of the College; two faculty members, Charles C. Abbot '27, Instructor in Economics and Mason Hammond '25, Instructor in History and in Greek and Latin; and two-non-faculty members, Soth T. Gane '07 and Richard C. Curtis '16.

The Junior Eight will not be elected until the second semester.
