Prominent members of the Harvard faculty will speak at a public memorial service for the late Dean LeBaron Russell Briggs '75, to be held in Memorial Church, Harvard University, at 4.30 o'clock on Tuesday, December 11.

Robert S. Hillyer '17, professor of English, and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for poetry last year, has written a poem for the occasion which will be read by James B. Munn '12, professor of English, and chairman of the Department of English.

Two Speeches

Brief addresses will be made by Frank W. Taussig '79, professor of Economics, and George Lyman Kittredge '82, professor of English Literature and senior member of the department of English.

The service will be held on the birthday of Dean Briggs. He graduated from Harvard College in 1875 and was Dean of Harvard College, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, President of Radcliffe College, and teacher of English at Harvard for forty-two years. He died April 24 at the home of his daughter, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
