With the start of regular practice this week, after about a month's informal limbering up, two factors appear to justify Varsity Coach Wesley Fesler's opinion that this year's basketball season will be "much better."
In the first place, a group of six lettermen are returning to the team. Headed by Captain Richard C. Boys '35, this list of veteran hoopsters includes George Van D. Comfort '36, Richard G. Fletcher, Jr. '35, Robert K. Morse '35, Richard C. Ernst '36, and James G. Grady '36.
Secondly, Coach Fesler feels the players should be able to take advantage of helpful experience, which the five lacked last year in League competition, and gained from its first season of, League competition.
The opening game is scheduled for December 5, with Boston University. Before that date, the Crimson quintet will be selected from the above list of men, from Junior Varsity players of 1934, and from promising Sophomores, who are out for the team. Among the latter is Freshman Captain Leavitt S. White '37.
