New Haven, Conn., November 23--The Jayvees opened Harvard's weekend at New Haven by whitewashing Yale's scrubs 8-0 in an unexciting game in the Elis' stronghold yesterday afternoon as Frank Owen and Walter Brookings turned in the Crimson's outstanding performances of the day.
Owen provided the opening score by tossing a pass to John Brassil, who carried the ball over for the touchdown. The Harvard Jayvees failed to kick the point, but came back later with a safety when a Crimson punt was downed on Yale's two-yard line and Brookings blocked the Elis' attempt to punt out of danger. Harvard was credited with an automatic safety on the play.
