8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
214 men have been issued uniforms for House Football, and the number of men on the field is increasing daily. Scrimmaging is about to start as full teams are beginning to report regularly. The Winthrop House Team, last year's champions, have led the turnout with 22 men and nearly two full teams are showing up regularly for Kirkland House. Coach Charles Pettee has had 15 candidates out for the Phillips Brooks House eleven, while Coach Warren Casey, center on the Varsity last year, reports 14 out for Leverett House. Pat Roudebush, the Adams House mentor, hopes that a sufficient number of men will report by Friday to make up two teams for scrimmage. The Elephants have shown the least inclination turnout of seven, but Coach Dave Grannis will persevere in his efforts to work up a team before the first game.
The playing starts on Tuesday, October 9, when Dunster will be pitted against Brooks, and Leverett plays Lowell. Games will be played almost daily from then until November 9. The winning team will play the champions of the Yale college teams here on November 16.
