Albert Sauveur, Gordon McKay Professor of Mining and Metallurgy, has been awarded the new achievement medal of the American Society for Metals. Presentation of this honor will be made tomorrow at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York, where the society's annual banquet is to be held.

In tribute to Dr. Sauveur, the medal will henceforth be known as the Albert Sauveur achievement medal and will be awarded annually.
