To welcome new members both Leverett and Kirkland Houses held special gatherings yesterday evening. Leverett's new residents were invited to a meeting in the Junior Common Room, while a dinner was given in Kirkland.
After the dinner Kirkland men assembled in their Junior Common Room for a general meeting. Hubert N. Stevens '35, chairman of the House Committee, presided, introducing speakers on various House activities, and explaining some of the generally accepted policies of the House.
Trials for "The Dilettanti," a two act farce by Thomas Love Peacock, to be presented by members of Kirkland House about Thanksgiving, it was announced at the meeting, will be held tonight at seven o'clock in the Senior Common Room. Huntington Brown '22, tutor in the Department of English, will direct the play.
