The John Leverett Society held its first meeting last night in the Junior Common Room of Leverett House. President Richard B. Kuhlke 1G, opened the meeting and then introduced the speaker of the evening, Dean Kenneth B. Murdock. Dean Murdock spoke briefly of the plans and aims of the society, after which there was a general discussion.
The society will hold regular meetings throughout the year, at which guest speakers will address them on questions of contemporary interest, scientific, literary, and political.
