INTELLIGENCE TESTS WILL BE GIVEN TO 150 STUDENTS

Tests to investigate the transitional period when students are going form secondary schools to college will be conducted here next week at Phillips Brooks House. One hundred and fifty students from six schools will take these tests as part of a nation-wide survey.

All of the men who will take the tests have answered a questionnaire on their family history and their personal interests while they were still in school. The men in question have been drawn from such secondary schools as Andover, Boston Latin, Cambridge Latin, Newton High, and Roxbury Latin.

This will be done as part of a survey that is being held in 40 different colleges under the supervision of Lincoln B. Hale of Yale. Edward S. Amazeen 2G.B., graduate secretary of Phillips Brooks House, has been in charge of the preliminary work here at Harvard but will be assisted by Paul W. Lehmann 2G.Ed., during the examination periods. The exact date for the tests will be announced next week by Amazeen.
