Fourth Edition Of Notes On Library Written By Potter

Book Contains General Description Of Contents, History

During the summer there was published the fourth edition of descriptive and historical notes on the University Library by the Harvard University Press. They were prepared by Alfred C. Potter, librarian, and were printed from the income of the Richard Manning Hodges Fund.

The volume contains 186 pages, and the table of contents is as follows: prefatory note, general statement of organization, the statutes of the University relating to the Library, bibliographical note, the Harry Elkins Widener Library Building, the University Library (summary of the number of volumes), the college library (classification of books), notes on the special collections in the college library, notes on the departmental libraries, list of book funds, list of funds for general purposes, and list of officers of the library.
