Starring Blanche Montel and Maurice Escande, the new film, "Les Trois Mousquetaires," has been obtained by the French Talking Film Committee to be presented Thursday and Friday, January 11 and 12.
This picture, formerly a silent film, has been rephotographed with sound with excellent results. The picture includes many out-of-door scenes, music, and the elocution of the actors is unusually clear.
Other characters in the picture play include Edith Mera, Andree LaFayette, Samson Fainscilber, and Harry Baur. Edith Mera is to play the part of Milady, the spy of Dumas' novel. Andree LaFayette will take the part of Anne of Austria, while Escande will characterize Cardinal Richelieu.
The four presentations of the film, which is so long that there will be no short picture preceding it, will be at 2 o'clock, 4.15 o'clock, 6.30 o'clock, and 8.45 o'clock in the institute of Geographical Exploration. Harvard and Radcliffe students may, upon presentation of their bursar's cards, procure their tickets beginning Monday, January 8 at Exhibition Hall of the Robinson Hall Annex.
