O. M. W. Sprague '94, Edmund Cogswell Converse Professor of Banking and Finance, former special assistant to the Secretary of the Treasury, has been appointed as an adviser to the General Motors Corporation, it was announced Saturday. Professor Sprague, who was formerly the monetary adviser to the Bank of England, resigned from his post to join the "brain trust" in Washington. With General Motors, Sprague will be associated with the foreign department.

A new book "Recovery and Common Sense" by Professor Sprague is announced for immediate publication by Houghton Mifflin Company.
