Through the generosity of Mr. Edwin DeT. Bechtel, a prize of $100 will be awarded in the years 1933-34 and 1934-35 for the best essay on an approved subject connected with the Philosophy of William James. The prize is open to students of philosophy registered in Harvard College or the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Essays must not exceed 10,000 words in length; and must be submitted on or before March 1, the subject having been approved by the Chairman of the Division of Philosophy on or before February 1.
