A tablet in memory of the late Major General Leonard Wood, former Chief of Staff of the United States Army and Governor General of the Philippines, has just been placed in the Memorial Church in the Yard by the 16 men who served with him as aides-de-camp during his lifetime. General Wood was graduated from the Harvard Medical School in 1884 and was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws in 1899.

The unveiling ceremony will be held at noon on Monday, October 9, the date of General Wood's birth. The Right Reverend William Lawrence '71 will officiate.
