SCHOOL OF EDUCATION PLANS NEW TYPE TESTS

General Examinations To Contain Practical Problems

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A new form of general examination for the degree of Master of Education to be used experimentally during the coming year was announced by the faculty of the Graduate School of Education. This test is designed to determine the candidate's power to meet the situations with which he will be confronted in his professional practice.

The new form of the examination applies chiefly to the comprehensive paper which constitutes one-half of the general examination. This is essentially a presentation of a situation calling for expert judgment, and the candidate is asked to criticize the action of a school committee, or principal under those circumstances.
