NINE MEETS GRAD TEAM TODAY WITH REVAMPED INFIELD

Still experimenting with the lineup and batting order, Coach Mitchell will put on the diamond this afternoon against the Graduates a Varsity team that has been revamped following the disastrous series with Holy Cross Kiernan is taking the place of Woodruff at third while Woodruff replaces Sargent in short field temporarily at least. Thacher the regular third sacker is still on the bench with an injury but is expected to be in the lineup against Dartmouth Wednesday, June 15.

In the first game of the year against the Graduate team, the Varsity nosed out the Alumni, 6-4 in a hard fought battle, but their recent record does not seem to indicate that they will be able to repeat the performance with a team that made 18 hits against Yale's four pitchers and put last Saturday's game on ice, 12-5. Yale has probably the strongest team in the East with the exception of Holy Cross, and stands second in the Eastern Intercollegiate League with excellent prospects of taking the crown from Columbia. Last year Yale romped home with the title after trailing in the beginning of the season and if they win the three remaining games on their schedule they will nose out the Lions.

With the change in the left side of the infield, Harvard may make a comeback although Dartmouth has been improving rapidly and has defeated the Crimson, 5-2. Taylor or deGive will draw the pitching assignment against Cutts.
