FACULTY MEMBERS TURN ACTORS IN LEAGUE PLAY

SIR HERBERT AMES TAKES PART OF LORD LYTTON

Members of the Harvard faculty demonstrated their versatility last night at the Continental Hotel where they abandoned their professional character to participate in a drama portraying the Sino-Japanese situation from September 1931 up to two weeks ago. The characters ranged from that of Sir John Simon which was taken by A. N. Holcombe '06, professor of government to that of the Guatemalan delegate to the League which was portrayed by G. H. Parker '87, professor of Zoology.

The play was written by Mrs. L. J. Johnson, wife of Professor L. J. Johnson '87, who acted as Secretary-General of the League, and Sir Herbert B. Ames who took the part of Lord Lytton.

Others taking part were as follows: professors M. O. Hudson, G. G. Wilson, J. A. de Haas, F. L. Kennedy '92, E. V. Huntington '95, and Albert Haertlin '16; doctors C. W. Putnam '11, P. S. wild and W. W. Maddox; Knight Biggerstaff 5G, Peregrine White '33, F. J. Mardulier '30, A. J. Burdoin Gr.E.S., L. H. Johnson Gr.E.S., C. N. Mason Gr.E.S., R. W. de Visme 2G.
