Freshmen as well as upperclassmen may occupy rooms in the Houses during the period of the Summer School, according to an official announcement made yesterday in response to requests for information. Contrary to the custom of last summer, however, students may not occupy the rooms after the summer School sessions are over.

Freshmen who have been assigned rooms in one of the seven Houses and wish to occupy these rooms during the Summer School will be granted permission by the Masters on the same terms as those students who have been in the Housing units during the past year. In all cases, it is necessary to procure a letter from the Master stating that he is willing the student should reside in the dormitory.

All those who are entitled to stay should apply in the Bursar's Office on the day after Commencement for a porter's card, allowing them to continue in their rooms. Students must present the Master's letter at that time.

Graduate students working on theses and tutors rooming in the Houses may likewise occupy their rooms up to August 16, on the same terms. After this date the tutor must either care for his room himself, or make special arrangements with Lehman Hall.
