The Varsity lacrosse team overwhelmed the Boston University outfit on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon by the score of 13 to 1. The B.U. aggregation was barely saved from a shutout in the last quarter when Buckley of the visitors' team scored their only goal. The match did not even prove a light workout for the team, for so weak was the opposition that almost all Harvard's substitutes were sent in.
This year's Varsity combine is one of the best in several years. So far, the team has easily beaten M.I.T., the Boston Lacrosse Club, and Brown, as well as tying the U.S. Naval Academy.
The summary: Score--Harvard 13, Boston University 1. Goals--Housen 3, Owens 2, LeRoy 2, Angle 2, Tucker 1, DeWolfe 1, Feins 1, Murphy 1. Referee--S. L. Harson. Time--Two 15-minute quarters, two 8-minute quarters.
