Playing on a dry, fast field, the Yale Varsity rugby team defeated the Crimson Varsity ruggers yesterday by the score of 14-0.
The game, which was far more exciting than the score indicates, was marked by a series of spectacular kicks and colorful runs. Wearing down the Crimson defense with several devastating attacks, the winners scored the first tally in the first half of the encounter, and followed this up with another shortly after the start of the second period. Captain Stanton Whitney '34 starred for the losers.

V. Rugby team downed Yale 17-5 at New Haven yesterday. C. K. Howard '35 was high scorer with two tries to his credit, the first on a pass from H. S. Parker '36 and the other with the assistance of Stanton Whitney, Jr. '34.
