FOURTEEN AWARDS GO TO GRADUATE SCHOOL MEN

Fourteen scholarships in various departments of the University for the academic year 1933-34 have been awarded, it was announced yesterday, following approval by the Corporation.

All of the scholarships are awarded under funds carrying special preference for students from certain schools or sections of the United States. Included on the list are seven Daniel A. Buckley Scholarships, with preference for graduates of the Cambridge Public Schools; four Stoughton Scholarships, with preference for students from Dorchester and Milton, Mass.

The list of awards follows: Buckley Scholarships: George Chaffee 2G, of Warwick; Samuel Fishman 2L, of Cambridge; Charles Hamilton, of Cambridge; Israel Joseph Kazis 1G, of Cambridge; Roy Lamson, Jr. 4G, of Cambridge; Peter Alexander Pertzoff '33, of Cambridge; Milton Oscar Talent 1L, of Roxbury.

Perkins Scholarships: Henry Black, of Reinbeck, Iowa; and Paul Burton DeWitt 1L, of Sheldon, Iowa. Rumrill Scholarships: David McConnell, of Davidson, North Carolina. Stoughton Scholarships: Henry Maurice Goldman 2Du, of Dorchester; Joseph Vincent O'Brien 2M, of Dorchester; Alfred Hertz Rosenthal '33, of Dorchester; and William Alexander Sloan 2L, of Dorchester.
