FRESHMAN NINE WILL MEET ST. MARK'S THIS AFTERNOON

1936 Diamond Men Open Season Today With Game at Southbore

Finally whipped into presentable shape after weeks of stiff practice, the Freshman baseball team travels to Southboro tomorrow to open its season against St. Mark's at 4 o'clock. According to Coach Bond, it is going to be anybody's game, since the first-year men have never before worked together under fire.

It is expected that J. H. Brock will open the game on the mound, while R. H. Waldinger will be at catch. H. P. White, the promising six-foot-two twirler from Country Day, and G. A. Bramwell, last year's star pitcher at St. Mark's, will be held in reserve. The much-disputed first-base position will be held down by H. J. Adziglan, while M. S. Hovenanian will operate at short stop, the position he seems to have finally captured. B. R. Baldwin, who has been tried at nearly every position on the diamond, will see service at right field.

The starting lineup: Waldinger, c.; Brock, p.; Adzigian, Ib.; Timethy Putuam, 2b.; W. M. Higgins, Jr., 3b.; Hovenanian, s.s.; A. E. Berry, l.f.; R. E. Woods, e.f.; and Baldwin, r.f.
