"Coiffeur pour Dames" by Paul Arnot and Marcel Gerbidon, the next motion picture to be presented under the auspices of the French Talking Film Committee, will be shown on Wednesday, March 15 and Friday, March 17, at the Institute of Geographical Exploration, it was announced yesterday by Mrs. E. K. Rand, chairman of the committee. The picture, which has been shown both here and abroad, has been one of the most popular pictures in France during the last year.
The story concerns the love affairs of a country lad who reaches fame and fortune in Paris as an exclusive hair-dresser.
Marin, the coiffeur, who is the hero of the production, is played by Fernand Granery, while Aline, the young heroine, is portrayed by Mona Goya. Both are French cinema favorites.
A short curtain raiser is to be presented before the feature picture and this will be followed by a brief explanatory talk in French. Tickets will be available for members of the University and Radcliffe in Robinson Hall Annex beginning Monday, March 13. Performances will be given on both days at 2.15, 4.15, 6.45, and 8.45 o'clock, and tickets will be void five minutes after the main film has begun.
