LIFE SAVING COURSE TO COMMENCE ON MONDAY

Harvard's annual course for senior life savers in the University who wish to pass their examinations to become qualified examiners gets under way Monday afternoon in the swimming pool of the Indoor Athletic Building, and will continue for about six weeks. The course is open to all members of the University who are senior life savers, 20 years of age, and can pass the eligibility test, and will be held in two classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 3 to 4 o'clock and from 4 to 5 o'clock.

Eligibility Test

The eligibility test for the course consists of swimming one-quarter mile, free-style, 100 yards on first the back and then the side using only the legs, retrieving an object in ten feet of water three times without diving, and swimming 25 yards underwater. The men who complete this will immediately receive instruction so that they will be able to teach those in the senior life saving classes which will begin on Tuesday, April 11. This latter course is open to all men in the University who can pass the same eligibility test and will meet on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3 to 4 o'clock and from 4 to 5 o'clock.
