Arrangements for the Freshman Smoker next Wednesday at 8.15 o'clock in the Union have been practically completed, Braman Gibbs '36, chairman of the Committee announced last night.
The Viking Orchestra, a Freshman organization, has been socured to supply the music. There will also be a quartet from the Instrumental Clubs whose personnel has not been completed as yet. Although Neal O'Hara '15 will be unable to give a speech, the services of Harry Bolden, the negro entertainer, who is a jack of all trades, have been engaged. The entertainment committee, including Shepherd Brooks '36, J. F. Ducey, Jr. '36, and W. D. Hardwick '36, is planning one other amusement, the nature of which will be announced later.
Every attempt is being made to start the affair on time as President Lowell, who is giving the first address, has an engagement later in the evening. His address will be followed by those of the Freshman Class officers: Shaun Kelly, Jr., president, F. R. Moseley, Jr., vice-president, and R. S. Playfair.
