Since the Mount Allison debating team will be preparing for their final examinations, the Canadian trip during the April vacation has been called off. R. M. Rowe '27, coach of the debating team. announced last night. The team had hoped to meet several colleges in Quebec and New Brunswick during this time, but has decided that it would be wiser to call off the trip entirely.
Announcement of the debaters who will meet Holy Cross on Thursday, March 30, in the Holy Cross Auditorium, was also made at the same time. S. M. Peyser '34 and D. M. Sullivan '33 have been definitely selected and either R. H. Amberg '33 or H. M. Lawn '34 will be the other member of the team. The last forensic contest with Holy Cross, in February 1981, resulted in a defeat for Harvard. The topic for the debate is; Resolved. That the United States should recognize Soviet Russia.
