The expedition of the Varsity squash team A to Detroit for the National Squash Championship tournament has been definitely called off, it was learned from Coach Harry Cowles today. The move was taken because insufficient funds were forthcoming from the Harvard Athletic Association. G. H. Hartford '34, however, who now plays number three on the team, will journey west at his own expense. The tournament will take place this week-end.
Drawing to a close, the squash season has only three more weeks of league play. The outstanding showing this year, besides the capture of the State crown by Robert Grant Ill, '34 has been that of the Freshman C team, which stands decisively at the head of its league, having defeated the upper-classmen and the other teams of the C league with little difficulty.
