In their second meet of the year the Freshman debaters will oppose Boston Latin School in the Upstairs Common Room of the Union at 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
A new team was chosen especially for this debate from the members of the Debating, Council last Thursday in a competition judged by W. S. Howell, instructor in Public Speaking. Melvin Levy '36, second, C. B. Feibleman '36, third, and R. M. C. B. Feibleman '36, third, and R. M. Smith '36, alternate, compose the team.
The Freshmen will take the affirmative side of the question, Resolved, That modern advertising is detrimental to modern life. The judges have not yet been announced.
The new plan of cross-examination of the speakers by the opposition after the argument, has been adopted by the Council, but will not be tested until the Choate debate on March 3. This plan was used by the Varsity debaters against Smith last spring.
