A unique book, the Livre D'Or de la Legione Etrangere, was presented to the Farnsworth Room of the Widener Library by Mrs. Alfred Loomis, a sister of Henry Farnsworth, in whose memory this room was given. The book was published in 1931, on the hundredth anniversary of the founding of the Foreign Legion of the French Army, of which Henry Farnsworth was a member when he was killed in the battle of Champagne.
