PRESIDENT CONANT GIVEN DEGREE OF LL.D. BY CHICAGO

President Conant was awarded a degree of doctor of laws yesterday by the University of Chicago for "eminent service to the science of chemistry, as a teacher, investigator, and administrator and in recognition of his position of leadership in American education." Julius Steglitz introduced the President and the degree was presented by Dr. Robert M. Hutchins, who is the chief executive of the University of Chicago.
