Beaver School's hockey field on Saturday was the scene of a whirlwind contest between the sub-debs of Winsor School and the Dunster House Wildcats. Here the blue blood of the Back Bay was ruthlessly shed by the red-blooded Dunster men in what passed for a field hockey game. While the game was being held up due to the unexplained absence of the ball, the Dunster House Band, disguised by patriarchal beards, paraded up the field playing what was thought to have been "Hit the Line for Harvard," and climaxed its march by successfully hurling a silvered mop over the goal posts.
When the ball finally appeared, the Cantabrigians gallantly took the field ready to do or die. For an hour the young ladies took it on the chin and shin before the steam roller tactics of the Harvard forwards. The Dunsterian's ability to run faster finally brought victory, although there was some question as to the legality of the tallies made since the rules were hard to enforce. It was thought that four goals had been scored by the Dunster team while Winsor was known to have scored only one.
