Lincoln Steffens, noted journalist of the "muckraking" era will speak next Monday at 7.45 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall at a meeting sponsored by the Harvard Liberal Club and the Harvard Inquiry.
An informal dinner will be held in Kirkland House preceding the lecture. Among the members of the faculty attending the dinner will be Professor Arthur N. Holcombe '06, who prescribes Steffens's famous "Autobiography" for his Government 1 course.
Working with Walter Lippmann '10, many years ago, Steffens instituted a course at Harvard consisting of lectures whose purpose was "to excite a searching interest in the common problems of politics and government."
