Despite the cold winds and the hard, frozen field which have hampered practice this week, the Varsity soccer eleven is fairly confident of beating the Cadets in the tussle this afternoon at 12.30 o'clock on the Business School field. Although the Army piled up huge margins in its early season games, it tied with Franklin and Marshall 1-1, and lost to Springfield College 1-4.

The booters from the banks of the Hudson are noted for their "kick-and-run" game and for their fighting spirit, having led across two tallies into the Lafayette goal during the last five minutes of play Wednesday.

Strong contenders for positions on the Crimson first team are Theodore Roosevelt, 3d '36 for the right halfback post of Ford Morrill '34, and Edward Motley, Jr. '36 for the center forward place now held by Leon H. Manheimer '36.
