Playfair and Woodard Will Start From Scratch

The annual University Handicap Cross Country Run will take place this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock over the four and one-half mile course at Soldiers Field. Among those running will be Robert S. Playfair '36, stellar Crimson harrier, who recently won the Harvard-Yale-Princeton Cross Country Run and Charles F. Woodard '35, both of whom will start from scratch. Handicaps will be announced just before the start of the race. Last year's run was won by Frederick L. Steele, 3d '33, while Arthur Foote '33, starting from scratch, was setting a new course record of 22 minutes, 32.2 seconds.
