Willard L. Sperry, Dean of the Theological School, and James P. Baxter, associate professor of History, will be the speakers at the annual reception of the Phillips Brooks Association for foreign students registered in the University to be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
The purpose of the reception is to give the students of various countries, including those from America, the opportunity to become acquainted with and meet members of the faculty. The chairman of the Foreign Student Committee is Cullison Cady '35; the steering committee, which is to assist him in conducting the reception, consists of: Donald S. Carmichael '35, Rodman W. Paul '36, and Victor H. Kramer '35. The names of men to serve as secretaries in the Houses will be announced later.
After the formal meeting this afternoon, it is planned to hold informal conversations. Refreshments will be served. The Phillips Brooks Association invites all American students desirous of meeting men from foreign countries to attend.
