The adventures of exploration and warfare by air will be the subject of four public lectures, to be given at the Institute of Geographical Exploration during the next two months, it was announced yesterday by A. H. Rice '98, director of the Institute. The lectures will be given by four officers in the United States Army Air Service who are on special leave from Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, in order to assist in Geography 36, the new course on aerial photography which is being given in the second half year.
The first lecture will be given on Wednesday, February 15 at 8 o'clock by Captain A. W. Stevens, whose subject will be "Over Two Continents with an Aerial Camera." Captain Stevens has been a member of the Army Air Service for over 15 years, and has been active in aerial exploration.
The remaining public lectures will be "The Romance of Military Photography" by Captain D. M. Reeves, on March 8, "Mapping the Earth from the Air," by Captain B. C. Hill on March 22; and "From the Log of a Flying Photographer" by Lieutenant J. F. Phillips on April 26.
