As usual Massachusetts leads in the number of students with a total of 3213, with 1705 of these in the College. New York and Pennsylvania kept their old places of second and third respectively, while New Jersey has replaced Ohio at fourth, California, Connecticut and Illinois follow in order, all of which had more than 200 students.
Ten foreign countries and possessions of the United States are represented for the first time in several years. These are Alaska, Canal Zone, Costa Rica, Egypt, Ethiopia, Latvia, Lithuania, Nicaragua, Straits Settlements, and Yugoslavia. Canada heads the list of foreign students, as in previous years, with 51 men. China follows with 32, and Hawaii takes third with 24. England kept her position with 18.
