H. V. Hubbard '97, Charles Dyer Norton Professor of Regional Planning and Chairman of the Council of the School of City Planning, was elected president of the American Society of Landscape Architects on Wednesday afternoon.

This society is holding its thirty-fourth annual meeting for the first time in five years in Cambridge. The trend of its discussion has been pointed toward the effect produced by the depression which has resulted in the promotion of objects for developing municipal property. Different members of the society have outlined efficient plans for these projects.
