Deny Salary Cuts

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

University officials yesterday reiterated the statement that there would be no imminent salary cuts as has been rumored recently. The Corporation had already announced a few weeks ago that there was no necessity for reductions at the present moment.

Department heads have, however, been requested to economize as much as possible in their various divisions in order to obviate any possibility of having to take such drastic action.

Since no accurate estimate can be made as to the state of the University's income next year, particularly as it depends on so many varying factors, officials would not state definitely what future action would have to be taken.
