NINE COMES FROM BEHIND TWICE TO BEAT ALUMNI 9-4

Ware Substitutes For Captain Lupien At Right as Wood Holds First--Face Tufts at Medford Tomorrow

Rallying behind the pitching of E. F. Loughlin, Jr. '34, who was playing his first game for the Varsity, the baseball team came from behind twice yesterday to defeat the Alumni nine, 9 to 4 on Soldiers Field. Tomorrow, the Crimson team goes to Medford to play Tufts. The game there will start at 3.15 o'clock.

Loughlin's Varsity Debut

Harvard's pitcher yesterday has played with the Jayvee team this spring. He got off to a poor start against the graduates, but after a bad opening two innings in which he hit one batter, walked three, and was touched for four hits, he settled down and held his opponents scoreless for the rest of the game and allowed only two more hits.

Captain Lupien had a vacation with Ware taking his place in right field. The latter led the Harvard attack with three hits and a sacrifice for a perfect score. This game also saw Wood back at his old position at first with Dana playing short.

F. B. Cutts '29, on the mound for the alumni, was in good form but his wildness and poor support from his teammates cost him the game.
