University Crew Prepares For Triangular Race With Cornell and Syracuse Boats

Syracuse, N. Y., May 25--Syracuse's heavy Varsity, with Coach Teneyek and Commodore Cuddeback, leave tonight for Cambridge, where it will row twice daily on arrival tomorrow morning. Although the crew has only raced once this season against Navy. It comes to Boston undefeated, but expects strong competition from Harvard and Cornell.

When the same Varsity crew which met Penn and Navy two weeks ago races Cornell and Syracuse on Saturday, it will still be untested by any recent time trials with the Jayvee eight. Since the reinstatement of Bancroft and Saltonstall, the crew has limited itself to long paddles upstream, with occasional sprints.

Although Coach Whiteside may possibly time the crew over the mile and three-quarters today. It is unlikely that the two eights will row again together this week.
