DALY RECEIVES MEDAL FOR WORK IN FIELD OF GEOLOGY

Reginald Aldworth Daly, Sturgis Hooper Professor of Geology, has been awarded the Hayden Geological medal by the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences, it was announced yesterday.

The medal, which has been awarded triennially for the last 63 years, is given by the academy for the best work, publication, exploration, research, or discovery in geology and paleontology. Professor Daly received the award for his contributions to geology made throughout his lifetime work in the field.
